Meet the Photographer

Steven Chester has been taking photograph's in and around New England for more than thirty years now.  A Medical Imager by Profession, he became interested in natural photography during his early years of college following an introduction to the works of Ansel Adams. "What most captivated me was how the more you look at his work, the more you see within it.  I have tried to keep that in mind when composing my own work."  Having been an avid hunter in his youth, he later came to the realization that It was not so much the game taken that attracted him, but rather the thrill and challenge of the hunt itself. "I loved the finding of the game most of all, as well as the peace of being in nature. So I turned in my gun and picked up a camera.  I know It's what I want to do for the time I have left to me."
